Noticed that the compass is now trying to calibrate. I didnt give it chance as I personally dont need it and shut it down. Bdc is set on mine but will test in a bit. Normal and extended zoom available, I like the normal as I dont see me needing the extended.

If anyone gets stuck at 100% and the scope doesnt function please refer to .200 page 1 for how to correct it. 2 updates in a row and same issue but very vorrectable. HTXH also has instructions there as well if you want to do it via wifi.

Did they publish what the update is supposed to do? I've mentioned this a few times to ATN (revision logs) and I don't find one for any thus far. For those of you evaluating the new firmware I just spoke with the tech representative and I can tell you this much. The selection of 3x vs 5x is critical to operating BDC as implemented on the x-sight the selection obviously needs to match you scope and basically it effect calculations based on variances of the lens types. The blue T will remain stationary and represents your original point of aim (zero) and you'll notice the reticle now floats based on your orientation and handling of the scope I.e. Realtime ballistic calculation and movement of crosshairs. The only way to know if it works and is effective will be at the shooting range so report back here if you have the ability to stretch out the gun and vary your elevations. In my opinion I believe the feature is more geared towards the daytime use of the x-sight as it is primarily designed as a day optic BUT that's not to say that it won't have a use at night 100 yards and in ... Instructions will be published in the future for how to change your wifi ssid and password to something unique. That's all from here, back home to TX tomorrow.

Hey Shadow, mine keeps freezing at 100. Where are the directions? On the update if it gets stuck @ 100% ATN stated to try to power down with the hard button. If tht dowsnt work (in my case) pull the batteries and wait 30 seconds, pull sd card. power back up and it will update.

I fully understand what you are saying above and agree. The one thing I get get into my puny brain is what bullet is this geared for? Anytime Ive ever had a bdc reticle is was always caliber specific as well as bullet weight. I see velocity and range but without the above mentioned how is the obsidian calculating the drop? I will be out in the back yard Friday (weather permitting) testing out the bdc with several different bullet weights as well as two different calibers to see what transpires. I can only go 300yds but that is more than enough to see how well it works.

Hi Guys, the instructions are in the manual on line to change your network SSid now. Also on the firmware update it says beta version, was that on the last update?

Lol. I guess u tried powering down and back up? I turned mine off. This thing is loaded with novelty items I won't use. It will do everything except be used as a rifle scope right now. We NEED that zero firmware.

Yea, I just did a factory reset and now I have it all. I ran it thru the WIFI and the app for the I phone does not get the cross hairs on mine. Whats odd is now in the scope at the display in has a timer counting down as you have the app running. I don't remember that from before. Also looks like you can record with the app running. Hopefully the numbers for zero remain the same. Also I don't have the flicker in day or night mode so far. Too soon to really tell. This all may be part of the Beta. Let me know if you all get the cross hairs on the tablet or phone.

Yes I have that counter also. Not sure if it's a counter for time powered on or time on the app. And no, my reticle does not show on my iphone app. Just FYI, I rechecked my zero with my boresight again, from before the download and my zero was way different. So I had to zero again. Before the download it left the screen at 1X, now it leaves the screen at 2.5X

I wonder if the zero numbers at 100 yards are going to be different that before the update. I wrote those numbers down and put them in. I guess I better go to the range over the weekend and check.

Yes they are different. I wrote my X/Y numbers down before this update and bore sighted again and they had changed dramatically.....
Hence my last post......."Just FYI, I rechecked my zero with my boresight again, from before the download and my zero was way different. So I had to zero again. Before the download it left the screen at 1X, now it leaves the screen at 2.5X"

Ha no worries my friend. And a boresight will save you a lot of headache. U can get an inexpensive one at Dicks. You don't have to go to the range to sight your scope in.
