I have seen this somewhere here on THF, I did a search but got nothing, Anyway, a hunting buddy of mine talked to a guy with some nice Ram mounts in his office. He said they came from hunts with Thompson Temple. This hunter said he had a great experience.

I know Thompson Temple has been around for years and I remember some negative comments from some customers.

Can anyone give me some reviews on his hunts, not to trash anyone, you can PM me with any comments, cheers or jeers,

Thanks

That's odd. The property is 3 miles up a dirt road. You got good eyes!

Well maybe hes just advertising junk and trash piles then because there was a big fence with his name on a huge sign off I believe 41.

Sparrish8 you are just talking trash to make yourself look important, no need to be negative.

Possibly the front neighbors property. There is a 3 mile easement thru another guys place to TTs gate/property like that is in no way visible to passing traffic.

I've hunted there before. The hunt is what you make it. If you want to kill a big merino that's walking through camp you can. If you want to hike and go find a good ram over in the mountain pasture or in the back by the old house you can do that too. As far as lodging don't expect much other than a roof and running water

Buzzsaw,

I suggest you read some of the reviews and then call Thompson up and talk to him...make it clear what you are looking for. He may or may not have the type of hunting you want but he will tell you what he has and what to expect. I have not hunted with him but have spoken to him... I think he's an honest guy.

He is talking about his place on 41 where Thompson keeps some Rams. Thompsons is a great place to go with a group of guys and have fun. The hunts are cheap and lodging is free. Most people are critical about the lodging but if you choose bring a tent or stay in town. I go often and in fact have 4 slots open for Feb 20-22

He has about a 100 acres on 41.
For the good, you can hunt rams and Catalina goats at a reasonable price (starting at $190.00) and have a chance to get a good one. You have the option of sitting in a stand or hiking the hills. I have gone and we hiked the hills and that is not an easy task, you will see some good rams in the hills.
The other option is to stay down at the bottom and hunt a tame animal, I would think that these are good for young hunters or someone just starting out with a bow, just a guess.
either way you can choose the difficulty of your hunt.
Now for the bad, the lodging is not the best but it is free and for going out and paying $190.00 for a hunt and lodging you have to be an idiot to expect nice accommodations. If you want a nice place to stay, go to a motel.
The other bad thing is the dump is right by a stand and close to a cabin.

I went with several people, we did not expect much for the cost so we were not disappointed and I would go again because we had alot of fun going up and down the hills chasing after some of the wilder animals and we kept the expenses down under 500 bucks for each of us for the entire hunt.

Gut pile ain't too bad during the cold months and we killed a Russian boar over the pile within 1 hour of being on the property.
Got my first bow kill in the Mountain Pasture and my nephew got his first animal ever. A 3rd guy got his 2nd kill ever so we had a good trip.
The drive makes it prohibitive for some.
