I just pulled bullets from about a thousand rounds with this. I can think of better ways to spend my time, but if all I had was an impact puller I would never have bothered.

I think Davidson makes them but I am not sure. Brownell's carries them.

Just look for "brownells bullet puller. $24.99

Dubbul R, you've recommended another good product to me. So, I'll look into this but have a couple of quick questions.

1. what does it do to the bullet?

2. How in the dickens did you make a 1,000 round mistake?

Well Dave...

1. if it marks the bullet at all, I sure can't see it.

2. I wish to remain silent. hammer

I wouldn't argue with that advice.

The biggest question for me is how to you keep the powder from dumping everywhere?

I hate pulling bullets...

The powder stays in the case because it's on the ram in a shell holder. I DID manage to dump a little powder where it doesn't go, though. In fact I have a box of about 1000 primed cases with about 25 grains of H335 mixed in for good measure and I have an 8-pound jug of H335 that contains at least one 55-grain FMJ. And just for equity's sake I managed to knock a case off the press onto the floor so I've got [at least] 25 grains of H335 in the carpet too. I have found that when performing a repetitive task with several different moves, I have to keep an eye on me.

Yes indeed! Like I said, if all I had was that *$&@#*"%$ kinetic puller I wouldn't have bothered. I just don't want to make a habit of using this new one.

Get one of these. I've used mine for years. Pulls everything and doesn't mark bullets. Pretty quick not having to set something down and pick it up again too.

Additional caliber collets run around 11 bucks each.

I have the RCBS one and absolutely love it. It makes making a loading mistake a tiny bit easier to swallow knowing you don't have to go banging away with the kinetic puller. To heck with the kinetic hammer puller.

'Zactly. I call it my "mistake eraser". Very easy to correct any seating or powder errors I might make. cheers

I actually went shopping for one of those first. I realized I would not be able to use it on my Co-Ax press and that's why I went the other route. I was a bit flustered when I realized the Davidson type wouldn't work on my Co-Ax either...I coulda figured that out beforehand but didn't take the time.

So the next thing I did was order the cheapest Lee press I could find in order to be able to use this bullet puller. Lordy, I had forgotten how cheaply stuff can be made. The Lee press was junk the moment it came off the line, but it's good enough for pulling bullets and using an RCBS primer pocket swager.

I dunno if that kind of bullet puller's better than what I ended up with, but mine beats the hell outa the inertial puller and I'm pretty sure the collet-type does too.

Good thing about the one you got is no extra collets to buy for all those different calibers, at least the one tool will work for multiple calibers.

Ahh, that makes perfect sense. I didn't know you were using a Co-Ax press. And I agree, that stupid cast aluminum "starter" press that Lee sells ought to be discontinued. I have one and yeah, it's good enough for priming/de-priming/pulling duties (what I use it for)...just barely, though. I use a Lee Classic Cast for single stage work and it's as solid as a rock. cheers
