I noticed a dozen canbacks that I bought were losing the paint. I called and talked to a gal at G and H. She asked what I wanted and I told her. Duck, the owner, got on the telephone and asked about the problem. I told him. He said they had a short run with adhesion problems and had bought back all they could find. He without hesitation stands behind his product and is shipping a replacement dozen. Try that with the junkie arsed chinese crap peddlers. You dern sure wont talk to the owner and you dern sure won't be talking to them in english. Not one more dime will I send to another decoy company.

Good for you Wal. It's nice to know there are still a few companies that will treat you right when things go wrong.

Couldn't get better than that. Was contemplating those or GHGs. Not sure what I'm gonna go with yet.

That's all I been buying last few years.. Seems like they get to your house 1 or 2 days, look good out of the box, and keep looking good. My first tex rig I let all the sand out of the keel, and 1 oz weights. Carry 18 deeks is nothing, good for long walkin hunts.

about how old were the canvasbacks? Was it just those or all species. Last I heard they did offshore them to China but not sure if they brought them back.

Go into the store in Henryetta, and "duck" is likely the one that will be helping you too.
Just stick with buying their non motorized decoys though. Their motorized stuff is going to need a few kinks worked out before they should be in its current price range.

about how old were the canvasbacks? Was it just those or all species. Last I heard they did offshore them to China but not sure if they brought them back. No! Duck and I spoke at length about "American". I assure you Duck isnt dealing in Chinese anything. He is a US Marine, supports our troops and police. If you get a chance you should pop into the factory. I certainly will and.you can bet your hinder I will buy a couple dozen more decoys. He said they set up a new paint system and did not realize the adhesion was going to fail. I gkt no problem with a fail. It only counts in customer service and they did that plus some. Where I was ultra shocked is he asked for proof of purchase. I told Duck where I bought them and that I would look for the receipt. 5 minutes later he called me, said he talked to the store and they remembered me. So when he called he said dont worry about the receipt and he would take care of me. Now tell me. When Academy, Bass Pro, any online or anywhere will go that far on their time to help you. Sold! I still have about half flambeau and now G an H. The realistic differnce is grand. Especially with the widgeon.

I love great customer service experiences like that. x2 I'm a fan of storm fronts for a number of reasons, but American made and committed, plus good customer service, is reason enough to buy their dekes. I'm gonna add a few to the herd.

I've always kinda liked G&H, they are a little more stylistic than say the ultra-realism of some of the china companies, but in a cool way. I never handled so many until we picked up the other day Wayne. Nice stuff.
BTW I gotta say, one more guy sold on the ACE weed line. That stuff is the bomb. I will have to eventually convert and find something to do with my 5# spool of 400# mono.

But for some reason once they are on the water they look very real. Got some mallards and looking to get some more. They'll last forever. As my GHG dekes bite the dust over time they'll be replaced by G&H, but they're holding up a lot better than expected. Might take a while, gotta hunt more!

Guy is the next convert.

Guy is the next convert. I could be wrong but I don't remember giving you a hard time about it... I probably asked you in detail what you liked better. It's easier to see in person though! That stuff is stiff and straight, no bones about it. I need to get some more crimps soon anyway are you using the same American Fishing Wire crimps? such as these: http://www.afwhiseas.com/product-p/j10f8b-b.htm

Wayne may use something similar as well.

The ace comes in .095 or .105. I use the cheap arse Academy sleeves when they go on sale for .25 a pack.

I hate those aluminum crimps. They don't hold a good crimp and they bust after a couple years when your rough on equipment.
