I've always wanted to hunt the Chap, so I am excited about this opportunity.

I was drawn several years ago, before the big fire. It was the thickest brush I'd ever been in. I hunted mainly the brush cut edges and the ponds. There were several elevated blinds in the 5000 acre section that was assigned to me. I saw whitetail, javelinas and dove. Never saw a hog or yote. It was a pretty wild place and I did see a chupacabra or at least one unrecognizeable critter that jumped in front of my truck. I had fun, just didn't kill anything.

We saw a pack of about 8 yotes during the youth hunt in November. It was about 30 minutes before sunset and they didn't offer us a shot, cruising 110 yards away through the brush. They are there...

Got back recently from quail hunts they had at the beginning of January. Lots of fun and saw lots of birds. Love hunting there and will look into getting on a drawn hunt.

That is awesome !
Congrats !
Love that place !
Saw lots of hogs and coyotes while on a hunt there a couple of years ago.
The coyotes would eat the golden nugget feed I spread out in the senderos.

Ut when is your hunt? we have hunted there twice before for javelina's, saw plenty of them but never a hog. We got pick this year again for the javelina hunt on Feb. 14th. I'll let you know if we see or hear about any.
