Anyone ever hunt around Terry MT?? My brother is managing a large farm / Ranch just a couple of miles from the Yellowstone River. He said there are some huge deer, but wanted to get some thoughts from you guys. Also if you have any info on hunting license up there. I check on the states web site and they have 6 different lic type. I will be hunting all private land so unsure of what lic i need to buy

You have until March 15 to apply for a license. There are some very big whitetail and have seen some good mulies as well along the Yellow Stone River. If the place he is on has irrigated fields then all the better. If not those deer sometimes travel a mile or two and bed for the day before heading to the fields to feed at night. Ask about pronghorn as well since that area should have some. good numbers. Several trips up I did not get drawn for speed goats but got a doe tag for $50.

I hunted quite a ways from there but have driven through there and saw lots of deer from 94.
