Haven't posted much this year, but have had some great hunts earlier in the season. The second half has been pretty slow up until these past few days. We are covered in birds right now. Here are some photos from the past two weeks. A 12 degree morning from two weeks ago.   Did a little scouting after the hunt, found a few birds with some jewelry  Did some more scouting last Wednesday, found more birds in the area and some more bling   Hunted Friday morning before work. One group of 10 mallards came in, 3 didn't leave the area. A bunch of ringers came in for 30+ minutes, passed on them. Around 8:15, a single goose came to check out the full bodies.

A little news on the band!
The banded goose I killed two years ago and the one I killed last week, were banded on the same day in durant oklahoma in 2011. Their numbers were only separated by 32.
The band numbers were
XXXX-XXX39
XXXX-XXX71
