If you have take your boat offshore for tuna where you might spend 3 nights afloat w several hundred pounds of delicate fish needing to be iced down and kept cold You ll appreciate the value in Yeti coolers
If you're just puttin' around; drinking 50F beer is fine then a Coleman is all you need
My boat carries 5 Yeti coolers , up to 330 qts,,, when my friends see now well those Coolers retain ice they all want one or 2
Like fine durable tool, Yetis are worth their asking price The durability issue is valid. I have always said offshore use is really where Yetis and the other rotomolded coolers shine and are well worth it. The other is possibly a long backcountry hunt. The 50 degree beer comment is a stupid cheap shot. Most coolers will keep ice plenty long enough for 99% of uses. Beer in a Coleman surrounded by ice is just as cold as beer in a Yeti surrounded by that same ice. For most folks, it's just something to spend money on. I can afford one, but simply don't see the need to spend a bunch of $$$ on a heavy a** cooler I don't need. P.S. I have seen at least one objective test showing a Coleman Extreme keeping ice as long as a Yeti. Since I don't stand on my coolers and there are no grizzlies where I live, I went with that and saved the other $400 for other stuff.

My only regret is getting a 120. Should have got the 160. But like garages they are never big enough.
Walter 420 is too big A 250 is great for general use around boat, camp, parties at the house

I got the Yeti Hopper as a Christmas gift. I've used it 4 times. IT'S AWESOME. I don't care if it costs $30 or $300. IT'S AWESOME. It holds a lot. It's easy to carry. It's durable. It keeps stuff really cold for a long time. (I also own a 45. I like it, but wish they made a wheel assembly!)

YETI does not make it but a different company does. I have played with the prototype. Walter

I would love one as a Christmas gift (from anyone but my wife since that's the same pot). They actually make great gifts since a lot of folks would love to have one but don't want to spend the $$.

Yeti has broken the barrier into marketing Nirvana. They could sell a koozie for $100 if they wanted to. Seriously. THIS. My $40 igloo keeps beer real cold. YETI is a status symbol brand. Sure is nice being able to have ice last 10days in the mountains and put a whole carcass in a cooler. 40 miles one way can be a pain to get ice. Or for it not to fall apart when you toss in 5 bags of ice. Mine are grizzlies though.

Other Yeti bargains include: T-shirt for only $24.99: Bottle opener for $9.99: Get 'em while they're hot!

My review.... Got mine in about 3 weeks ago and it has been in use daily, and I love it. The best way to describe it my opinion is it's overbuilt on purpose. The zipper, the stitching, and the heat sealed areas seem indestructible. It's very rigid at first when opening, but it is loosening up. It stays in the back of a truck and gets transferred to a 4 wheeler or cart everyday. The canvas coated exterior has not scratched or shown any sign of tearing to date, and easily wipes clean. The shoulder strap makes it easy to carry around, and with the flat bottom, it stays where you put it.It has been keeping ice for 3-4 days depending on outside conditions. It's not 105 degrees yet, but its portability and shape make it easy to throw behind the truck seat on the floorboard, then throw it in the bed. Plenty of tie rings and loops for attaching things also, which make it really easy to put on the 4 wheeler. I'm going to give it an A+ rating so far. Does exactly what I had hoped it would do.

I bought one as soon as they hit the shelves. $299+tax, I'm fanatic for icechest, I have just about all of them. Yeti, Pelican, K2, and a few others that are just as expensive as a yeti. I have to say the bag is impressive it holds ice for a long time, its built like a tank, and it doesn't sweat. If I needed another top end ice chest I would buy a Pelican or Yeti.

The only con is you can pack alot of beer in one and if your hoofin it a long way it can wear on your shoulder. Normally stays in the back of my ranger or truck in close reach. Its definitely the toughest bag chest available that I know of again, its not light when its loaded down.

I have a Yeti 105, got it for $350, which was about $100 off retail. I knew a guy that was a dealer that gave pretty good discounts. Unfortunately, he is no longer a Yeti dealer.

A little off topic but still talking about Yeti. My wife got one of those 30oz Rambler tumblers as a gift. I used it the entire time on a 4 day camping trip...it was pretty impressive how the ice stayed together. I've been a fan of those Tervis Tumblers for the same reason but the Tervis ones don't hold a candle to the Yeti. Every night before I go to bed I will fill up a Tervis tumbler with ice and water and I'll take a couple sips during the night...with the Tervis my cup is all water by the morning but with the Yeti there is still ice in it. Would I pay 39.99? I would have said never before but they are pretty great and I've very open to getting one as a gift in the future haha.
Dear Lord please bullwhip me for saying this but I agree, Marcstar is in the lead. Please nobody use this as a quote!!!

Just for giggles I got this the other day. So far I haven't killed it. Ice retention for 8lbs is about 30hrs. It's actually made for yak guys because it has a remove able fish bag. For the price I thought why not.

I got a softsided cooler as a gift....not a yeti. It's good for day trips and it's hard to have expectations higher than that. For camping and hunting trips I normally just fill my big yeti with beer, other drinks, and ice and for excursions during those trips I'll take some of the beer and drinks and put them in the softsided cooler for easy transport. Perfect for taking to the beach or on a boat where you might have to do a little walking and don't want to carry the heavy cooler. The Yeti one is pretty awesome looking as is the columbia one....I'm sure they are both great.

I have 2 50s and a roadie. Pleased with all of them but for a bag I use the AO bags. Have them on Amazon pretty fair prices. Work great no leaks. I have had ice in mine for 48 hrs opening it frequently.
A well placed kill with a small cal. is more gratifing than a masacure with a large one.

It keeps stuff really cold for a long time. (I also own a 45. I like it, but wish they made a wheel assembly!) I agree completely. I've had one for a month and use it almost everyday. The wife even uses it when she goes to the grocery store. It's the most well built soft sided cooler I've ever seen. The zipper is also water tight, so if it flips over, it won't leak a drop. I can usually get 3 days out of a bag of ice without issue.
