Classic, are the springs weak in yours? I have already had to replace the hand spring and the hammer spring.

No, springs are fine but I do not believe mine is a pietta. I have 4 or 5 cap and ball pistols so I will have to double check the manufacturer.

This belt makes packing this pistol around a breeze. Those old frontier guys new what they were doing.

I had always dismissed the cap and ball stuff as messy stuff for the black powder kooks. But after reading Empire of the Summer Moon, I kind of want a Walker.

They are definitely messy, no doubt about that.

I'd love to have a Walker, but they are expensive replicas.

Not that messy. Just keep a bottle of Windex on you and keep it sprayed down to neutralize the salts.
