I just took my sendero 300WM to test some loads I made for it and all of them with a 72-75 grain charge of IMR 7828 would get stuck in the chamber. There weren't any pressure marks on the case so what could it be?

Had high pressure signs years ago with 300 WBY and IMR 7828, chronograph also indicated high pressure since velocity was almost 200fps above expected for starting load. What do yourprimers look like after fireing?

Other possible causes
Rough spot in chamber
Light rust in chamber
Headspace issues

Try a factory load and see what it does

The primers look normal. Nothing that would indicate high pressure.
And for brass prep I full length size it, clean, trim, clean again, then load

The gun is brand new this is the second time I've shot it. The first being with two different brands of factory ammo with no problems

Which bullet are you loading?

When resizing are you sure the die is set so it is doing a full length sizing?

Do you have access to a chronograph?

I'm loading 210 berger vld hunting.
I think so. I set the die up the way I always do.
And I have a chronograph but I was in a rush and forgot to take it with me.... So I guess that was my first mistake

So what's the way you always do?

Do you have headspace gauge inserts?

Dang, I assume your chamber is clean...

I'm not sure of any good gunsmiths in your area, I would have one check the chamber with a scope and Gauges as FiremanJG suggests.

Keep us posted, this is a good one.

Will do. I might have to stick to factory ammo for a while.

Nonsense! Every handloader need this to go with his calipers, I used mine today. Measure your fired cases from case head to the middle of the shoulder. The kit tells you which insert to use. Set your FL die to bump the shoulders .003" shorter than the fired case measurement. Once that's a known, then you can look into where your bullet sits in relation to the rifling. If you are jamming into the lands, the bolt will be difficult to close on a case with a bullet in it. But if your empty cases are chambering fine, then are hard to lift the bolt, your brass may he starting out long before firing then it grows even longer during the firing.

I guess I should get those and learn how to use them. And I trimmed them to the length in my lyman reloading book

Those loads are on the high side from my source for that bullet. Double check your data and scale calibration. Along with the questions from Fireman

Alright. I think I'm gonna make another batch and try not to forget my chronograph next time. What velocity should I be expecting?

Just a note about case length...usually a case will actually be shorter after firing than it was when the bullet was seated. If you don't believe it measure some fired brass that were trimmed before loading.

JG mentioned bullets jammed into the lands, and that might be happening. You don't have to seat so long that closing the bolt becomes difficult before pressure signs show up. Your primers and everything else may look normal, but difficult extraction is just as legitimate pressure sign as all the others.

What brass are you running? And what is your seating depth? I'm showing 74 grains as max for a 208 A-max (which is near identical to a 210 VLD). If you are running Norma or Nosler brass and bullet seated too deep, then your 72-75 grains could easily be a hot load. If the brass chambers fine and then upon firing it has a sticky bolt lift or sticks in the chamber, then that's a hot load. And I do not look at the primers for pressure signs. I look for 2 main things- ejectors swipes on the case head, and sticky bolt lift. It sounds like you have one of signs, and if you posted pictures of your case head of the one's that stuck in the chamber, I bet you will have a shiny spot from the ejector, which tells me you have a hot load. I'm willing to say I'm 95% sure that's what is happening.

I think like Chad said you are running hot, and would expect the chronograph to show velocities higher than the load data shows, this is not always the case but there is a relationship of velocity and pressure. Seated to the same COAL the 210gr VLD will take up about consume close to 2 gr more case capacity than a 208gr amax.

I'm using federal brass with an over all length of 3.450.
My best groups were 70 and 71 grains. After that they opened up a lot. Should I start my loads at 68 and work up this time? Last time I went from 70 to 75
