Since B&C doesn't accept animals in velvet, do states promote unethical behavior by issue tags for early season velvet hunts? Just something that popped into my head after they decided to have a LR opinion. As we all know, especially jshouse, habits tend to change when the velvet comes off. Happy Friday.

In B&C eyes states do not give animals a sporting chance in early season thus the exemption. Thank God B&C doesn't influence state seasons like DU does

Do they actually have that rule because they think it's unethical? I just figured it was to get a more accurate measurement.

Then do a separate division...P&Y does.

A lot of mulie guys and elk guys won't shoot them with velvet on.

Mulies and elk in general are pretty much in another world in velvet.

How does DU influence state seasons? Nothing meant by this, just curious.

Edit: maybe just point me in the direction of another thread, if applicable. Realized this is off-topic from the OPs question...
