Has anyone ever tried to make a sausage smoker out of an upright freezer? Was wondering if the plastic inside would melt. I would be smoking at about 200 degrees.

we used to have one but it was very old metal lined upright freezer. I would be concerned about the plastic melting but more so about any poisonous gases the newer insulation might put off ...

Don't use the newer ones with plastic inside. Yes I have used an upright freezer but was an old metal one.
