i was fortunate to help in that study while i was a student at TAMUK. i was on all the catches for the study and got my butt whooped several times catching those bucks. eventually i was the manager at one of the ranches involved in the study towards the end of the it. it was nice. i got to run around with Mickey and see all the deer and let the young kids get beat up doing the catching.
when i consult landowners, i use Mickeys culling criteria for ages 3.5 and up. i tend to give spikes and 2 yo the benefit of the doubt. but on some places i may recommend it.
alot of good information came out of that study.

Don't you know that research is flawed and goes against what QDM enthusiasts hold so dear?

I discovered that several years ago, but still review it every year or so. Lots of good information in that study.
