We have those around our house here in Granbury. Oddly some years there are tons of them and some years not that many of them. I think the scaled rock looking lizards eat them or something cause I either have a lot of one or a lot of the other.

They get a pass around my place, even taught the dogs to (mostly) leave them alone. Need all the help we can get to battle mosquitoes. I'll leave the light on in the bathroom, and they gather up on the outside of the frosted glass to catch the bugs... pretty interesting to watch them stalk and eat from inside the house.
