This past weekend we had good friends travel from Atlanta to Southern Live Oak County for the 11th year in a row to do some hunting and help me take care of my annual doe harvest. It was wet and cold the entire 4 days, which made for some excellent hunting. I'll just hit a few of the highlights. First, one of our guests was able to connect on a 7.5 year old 10 point. His best buck by far. Look at that neck!  Another buddy of mine got a javi with his bow.  Check out the cutters on this old boy! Measured just over 3 inches each.  On the last night I finally caught up to an old 8 pointer I'd been chasing all week. I setup a tripod overlooking a big coastal field and caught him sneaking out to eat some clover right at dark. 6.5 year old heavy horned brute. Had a busted G3, but that just adds character on a deer like that.   Finally a pic of all 3 bucks taken over the weekend. The guy with the long brows was taken by my father-in-law. He spent about 15 minutes in the stand, which is 15 more minutes than he's deer hunted in the 20 years I've known him. How's that for efficient hunting?  Capped it off with a final morning yote kill. 200 yard running shot.
