Hello,
I am interested in a Remington rifle at a local gun store. The owner tells me it is a Sendero. Would the rifle be marked "Sendero" or is there a serial number range I should look for.
What I am wanting to do is make sure I'm really getting a Sendero.
Thanks

I always thought they all said sendero if they were. Several posts about this before said some do not.

What caliber is the gun?

They do not all say Sendero. Remington got lazy on some of them. Call Remmy is your best bet.

A huge majority of the original Senderos do not say Sendero anywhere on the gun.

Caliber is a huge give away if its really a Sendero or not. They were never made in short action caliber except a very small amount chamber for the SAUM's. There is a short action version of the Sendero out there that looks just the same but is not actually called a Sendero. Its part of the varmint line up.
