its about 20-30 yards on the other side of fence...the guys stand is about 50 yards to the left of the feeder and if a deer is at or close to the feeder, the guy is shooting towards our property! What should I do...we already relocated an entire setup we had in the area because of this that we had had up for 2 seasons....

Talk to him or the landowner, just say 'Hey, could you move it so that your line of fire isn't into our pasture?'

Not cool or neighborly. I would have a talk with them about it.

if they don't move it I would make it my deer/hog cleaning station.

Make a sign that reads.....

TEX PW. CODE ANN. § 62.0121 : Texas Statutes - Section 62.0121: - (b) A person commits an offense if:(1) the person, while hunting or engaging in recreational shooting, knowingly discharges a firearm; and(2) the projectile from the firearm travels across a property line.

....and hang it on the fence in clear sight of his blind....

Couple of boys did this in Concho last year and the GW made them move the gut piles because of "hunter harassment". Careful on how you proceed.

Talk to the neighbor and the owner. We talked to a few of ours and they relocated the stand to keep the trajectory from coming onto our property but never mentioned hunting their property line. They own up to the fence line just like everyone else.

Good luck

guess I am just old school but I would never dream of doing that to a neighbor. I was brought up to respect my neighbor and treat others as I would want to be treated. That includes hunting, at my home in my neighborhood, etc. Guy may have a "right" to put his feeder and stand there but it is just flat wrong for him to do so. It is just asking for trouble.

Just talk to the guy, he should not be shooting across your property line. That's a given. All the stuff to screw with his hunting i.e. parking there etc. is a last resort to make your point.

I guess I'm lucky. My feeder faces the fence. Neighbor has 600 acres. The area I shoot into is completely fenced off from his cows. It's a valley that is dangerous for him to run his cattle in. So it's all separate from his land. They just funnel right in to me. I can't say I would worry if somebody else was shooting at my fence line as long as they know where my stands are and or houses. Small acreage can be difficult. Now if they're shooting at something. No no no no. But a nice talk should take care of most any problems as long as cool heads prevail. Good luck

ive talked (texted) the guy before about deer, and what they are seeing etc...I just couldn't figure out a good way to ask about possibly moving the feeder...I may talk to our landowner and see if he wants to help or talk with them, he has cows out there and Id sure hate if one of them got hit accidentally..

That'd be a $1,500-$3,000 miss for them wouldn't it. I wouldn't shoot if there was a cow back there though

I'd talk to them first....I wouldn't be bashful about it....just bring it up.

if he's not willing to accommodate and do something about it...then I would not take to damaging his property....but I'd do everything I could on my side of the fence to make sure that wasn't a good hunting spot for him.

go get you a battery powered alarm clock....set it to radio...and set it to go off in the mornings and afternoons about the time he'd be hunting. that way you've got nice regular ruckus for him. go talk to a barber shop and get you a sack of hair trimmings....scatter them out along the fence-line. put a deer blind over there that's looking at his feeder....anything to make him think twice about it being such a great idea.

If the bullet crosses the fence what is it going to hit? Are we just mad because it's at the fence or can he actually hit anything if he misses? Is there tons of brush, trees changes in elevation? If there's no chance of It hitting anything or causing any real problems is it that big of a deal? If there is something that he can hit does he know it's there? What kind of average does he have. And you? If small properties that's just an issue that everybody has to work together on. I dunno it's not happening to me so I guess my point is invalid.

I certainly don't agree with a feeder and stand on the fence line but GW will write you up for hunter harassment - gotta be careful on that

From this one picture, sorry I don't know enough about the situation of safety or not. Where's his blind in relation to your fence, if he's shooting parallel to your fenceline, don't see a huge issue, personally. Visually at the distance from your picture, that feeder looks to be 20-30 yards off the fence and possibly completely parallel to it. You may not like it but it's certainly not illegal or unethical. Unethical is going to the movies and ordering a drink that is half-filled.

A neighbor of mine has a bow stand set up twenty yards off our mutual fence with the feeder set up to where it throws corn on my side. I didn't say anything about it until he had the nerve to text me and tell me he was hunting this particular stand and asked me to hold off anyone from rifle hunting (MLD) the grain field that adjoins his stand/feeder location. This didn't set well with me, as most of you can imagine. He put himself in a dangerous situation and expected me to accommodate his foolishness.

Go Park an old truck, trailer, etc. etc. next to the fence on your side.
