 lab not retrieving.

All of a sudden my lab won't retrieve to me. She will go and get anything but when she comes out of the water she just drops it. Tried it on land and the same thing. Even with a check cord. How can I remedy this?

Pretty standard answer you are going to get but Force Fetch is probably your solution.

She will soon be 3 and has always been obedient. Almost no problems teaching her new things. Some things are slow to her such as staying but overall she's done pretty good. I hope this is a phase.

There are some people clicker training the retrieve.
I have never tried it, and had my dog FF.
I think I'm going to try it with my next dog. If I don't get the results I want, I can always go back to FF.
