Is there any benefit performance wise between the two different barrels lengths 22"-24" chambered for a .270Win?

24" is going to be more velocity...less than 100fps would be my guess though. The 22's are nice to put suppressors on.

Another performance consideration is weight and handling quality.

A longer barrel will give you better ballistic performance, which with a 270 would only be significant if larger game such as elk or moose are being considered.

That has to be balanced against the additional weight and less delightful handling qualities a longer barrel will also give you.

Factory ammo velocities are measured in 24" barrels typically, in non-magnum calibers. But in my experience, the 270 win doesn't lose but 50-60 fps in 22" barrels. In magnum rifles with more powder capacity, 24" should be a minimum...Imo

Same opinion as above in regards to velocity between the two barrels. If you blind/stand hunt mostly, then the 22" is definitely easier to manage in tight quarters.

With the 270, you will gain/lose about 20 fps per inch. So, about 40 fps difference.

I was looking at the Nosler M48 24" barrel or the Sako Graywolf 22" barrel. And was always leaning towards Nosler M48. I was just checking to see if I was gaining anything over the shorter barrel other then weight and ease of movement.

That Sako is a sharp lookin' rifle.

It is very clean looking. I like it a lot.

Depends on the caliber, generally a 2 inch longer barrel will get 40 to 60 fps faster all else being equal but less handy in truck or stand.

In a .270 or any other standard caliber I'll go with a 22" barrel

In a magnum min is 24". Mine wear 26" tubes

Shorter the barrel, the stiffer the barrel, less picky about ammo, more maneuverable, looses velocity.

But a 2" difference on a 270 (which is already pretty fast), I'd go with the 22". Especially if you like the 22" barreled rifle better.

7 Rem Mag, or 300 Win Mag, I want a 26" so that the cartridge can do what it was built to do.

I have a 270 win with 26 inch barrel. I have read load data for it that indicates about 150 pfs faster out of the heavy for cal 150 grain bullets; however, I don't have a chronograph yet and haven't tried to replicate or compare between it and a 22/24 inch barrel.

Seriously, either one of those rifles you are going to be happy with...I can't imagine it any other way.

Just a suggestion, Browning X Bolt (in any trim option) would be an excellent choice as well.

I have a X Bolt White Gold Medallion in .270 Win. and it's a tackdriver.
