Was at Academy in Arlington earlier looking at the Savage Axis Youth 7mm-08 (Muddygirl camo)for the wife they had advertised for $359. Was going to look, not necessarily to buy. Mainly wanted to check how it fit her. Well, they have it discounted another $60 off the advertised price for a total of $299.00. Couldn't pass that deal so I picked it up, with 2 boxes of Hornady Lite loads and a case for $400.63. They had 2 left at that price.

I have an axis 7.08, it does not like the Hornady ammo, it does however like the winchester ballistic silver tip bullets

A few years ago I picked up a stevens 200 on sale at academy for 170 bucks. Not bad. I replaced the trigger and mounted a Burris fastfire. Perfect rifle for hunting the Ouachita national forest.
