Just recently purchased a Sig XO Stainless with crimson trace grips. I would really like a set of G10 grips for it but then obviously I cant have the CT grips. If I sell the CT grips I would get a set of trijicon Night sights for the pistol.

Which would you rather have? Night sights or a CT laser?

I would rather have night sights. Not a big fan of a laser on a carry gun.

I'd perfer night sights. Never really found visible lasers very useful myself.

Night sights would be my choice, although I've worked nightshift for 9 years and never needed night sights. I've always been under the assumption that if I can't see my sights I prob can't clearly see my target. I would opt for a good quality rail mounted light if you have that option

After ur first shot, night sights are pointless. Pretty much blind after that. If i can't shoot my target with regular sites, I don't need to be shooting! So neither for me. I do have both though, but nothing I've ever bought myself.

If you are young and can see, night sights are "ok"

Lasers are GREAT if blind like me, no doubt where the boolits goin.

I know what you mean, the crimson trace grips aren't very cool looking. they do have some in the G-10 like the VZ but just black and white..

I have rails on my pistols so the CT Rail Master rocks.

I agree with this. I put CT grips on my .45 revolver that I use for following up on hogs in the brush. I haven't had to use it since I put on the grips, but poking around in the dark brush one midnight for a 200 lb hog made me want something easy to see and aim.

This threads going to make me sick. Practice practice practice! You will be much better off and a faster shot if you practice. I only use sights from the 25yd during quals, from there in its point and shoot

A good rail mounted flashlight with the POI
in the center out to 10y or so would be nicer
to me. Not for carry though, just for HD.
Strobe is not a bad feature either, maybe a
little too much to fiddle with under pressure
though. Have not had a chance to handle one yet.

As for carry, I don't do it. The guns I have that
would be good for it are Sig's with factory night
sites. If I ever get licensed, my carry gun will
have them just because they already do.

I have a few CT lasers I messed with, a couple for
the 938/238 and one for the g23. I'm not a huge fan
of them. Maybe better in conjunction with a rail
mounted flashlight I'd like it more. I actually have
not picked a flashlight yet, just next on the radar.

If you follow the belief that you never want to be in a fair gunfight, why would you want to light up the room for an intruder? I would rather take my chances with a laser in a dark room that I know much better than an intruder.

A strong white light in the face of someone with night vision can be blinding. adding a strobe is particularly disorienting. It certainly makes the fight unfair

I have had a CT laser guard on my carry gun and I liked it but after going through two of them I took it off, it will not handle everyday carrying, the board gets messed up, the first one they covered under warranty, they said the battery leaked and corrosion ruined the board, it lasted 7 month's, the second one lasted 6 month's, with the same outcome, no more CT for me..

x2

and he is talking about "eyes that are adjusted to maneuvering in very low or no light"
not "night vision goggles or scopes" though a flashlight could jack some of those up too.
