Update: Figured out the problem this weekend. So i didnt drain all the diesel out when i put fresh gas in and looked and smelt the old diesel i had removed and it was very old. I i flushed lines and ran a heavy duty additve injector cleaner through there and now she runs like a champ. SO bad fuel was the problem.

I never seen diesel go bad. Maybe get water in it but not go bad. Pretty much both in a way. If it sat long enough the moisture built up in the tank causing the fuel to go bad.. also if the lines are old and cracked that will let junk in also. Was this a plastic tank? Im thinking they had metal on some.. if so its going to keep happening since the inside is most likely rusted out.. flakes will keep building up and clogging the system even after adding new fuel. If so take it to a tank shop and have the inside lined/treated and it will save you a lot of headache

MEtal tank. When i got into it the old diesel smelt so bad and was so foul it gave me a headache. Messed around with it and put the new diesel in it and messed around some more there was definetly a different smell to the new diesel that was to unpleseant at all. good call i will have to look into the tank and see how bad it is in there.
