I use to own a Rhino but got tired of taking in for misc. items that we had problems with and it was loud as heck so we sold it. I am now considered buying either the Mule 610 4 x 4 or the Polaris Ranger ETX. Please let me know your thoughts on these two units if you have had good or bad experience with either. I prefer "LOW MAINTENANCE" more then speed and bells and whistles since it is a pain to haul to town for repairs.

I like the bed better in the mule. I hunt with a couple of guys who have rangers. They have a better ride.
Quail hunting is like walking into, and out of a beautiful painting all day long. Gene Hill

I decided the same thing. FYI, I am getting the 610 XC version. Better tires, skid plates, and actually sits about 5" taller when I parked them side by side. The polaris Ranger is suppose to be better but costs significantly more and I walked around the shop and there were a lot more Polaris in there than the mules. 1 Mule and probably 6 Rangers. Talked to service manager and he said the mules are basic simple machines that is why they don't come in as often. Not as many bells and whistles to have problems with. Good luck with your purchase....thanks.

I've had my 610 mule for almost 6 years now. Only thing it has needed was a new battery a couple years ago. Work kept me busy out of town during the off season this past year so I didn't get to hunt much and the mule sat in my garage for 8 months without being started. Ran some seafoam through her at the beginning of this season and she's been starting and running smooth all season even on cold mornings like today.
