We had a wonderful hunt recently at the lease in the sleet/rain in Central Texas and my son bagged a banded Gadwall. He entered the number in the BBL website and found out the duck had been banded in 2013 as a duckling in SE Oregon. He must not have liked the Pacific Flyway so he switched to Central.
Curious where other banded ducks killed in Texas originate. I saw the recent post from the coast of a Redhead banded in Saskatchewan.

We interrupt this marriage for the hunting season.

We killed a banded sandhill crane in 2011 out in West Texas. It was banded in Nebraska in 2004.

Someone posted a cool website here about a year ago that was a virtual map of exactly what you are looking for, but I can't remember the name of the website. Maybe someone will repost it.

I've shot a few banded Woodies in East Texas and they all seemed to come from Iowa. Shot a Mallard that came from Minnesota.

I think there was an article on here a little while back about a banded bird (a dove I think)that was like 13 years old?

Buddy of mine shot a banded speckle belly this weekend. From north of the Arctic Circle near Canada, about 12 years old. Looks amazing.

Coastal Prairie & Matagorda Bay system. Sic'em.

I've killed 4 mottled ducks that were banded and 2 were banded at McFaddin, one was banded at Anahuac and one in Brazoria County. I've also shot a Specklebelly that was banded in DeadHorse, Alaska.

I've killed a pintail, blue winged teal, and mottled duck in Texas and the pintail and teal were banded in Saskatchewan and the Mottled Duck at Anahuac NWR about 10 miles from where I killed it. I also have killed 2 mallards in Oklahoma, one was banded in Saskatchewan and the other in North Dakota

The biggest distances I've seen were brant I shot in obregon Mexico that were banded north of the arctic circle at barrow AK. Buddy shot a banded wigeon in Mexico City that was banded in NE Canada. My son shot a banded redhead that was banded in Thunder Bay Ontario which I bilieve is the eastern flyway.
