I bought the .308 and will trying it out in April. I am interested to see how it does on lung shots (will I get a blood trail) and shoulder shots (will it penetrate through the plate and break the shoulder/paralyze him).

I've killed two with my Remington VTR in .308, both about 60 lbs. One was behind the ear and one in the forehead. Two words. Devastating.

If it's the stuff I think it is, (steel casing, copper jacketed beveled hollow point) I had the stuff in .223. I can say at over $20 a box ($21-$26 depending on where you buy it) it was worth it, and wish I could get my hands on more. Stuff disappeared locally. Seemed to be a very devastating round compared to the basic FMJ's I had been using in that caliber, and left very large exit holes on the smaller pigs. I Imagine in the larger calibers it performs great too, but I figure in .308, Federal Powershock's are less than $20 a box, and While it doesn't always exit the bigger pigs, dropping 'em where they stand makes up for it IMO.

Shot my first turkey today...Scared the crap out of everyone in the frozen food section, it was awesome!

My buddy used them just this past Saturday ... left some big holes on smaller hogs. Pretty devastating on big pigs as well. He was shooting a .308 ar-10
