Weather reports show not so great weather.... But would you still go for it? Wasn't able to get down there last year and this is my first trip there this season. How has it been?

If you let increment weather get in the way of your duck hunting, it's time to hang up the waders!! Come on down!!

Seasons too short to not hunt in the rain. Maybe I'm crazy, but if I have a chance to go, I'm going.

I normally only hunt in the rain once, or twice a year.
It needs to be a opener, or closer to get me out in that mess.
I'm not talking about drizzle, but all day heavy rain.

Shopping with your husband is like hunting with the game warden.
Experience is what you get, when you didn't get what you wanted.

Long as the wind isn't keeping them pinned down I'd go. Should be ok this weekend

After a lot of seasons, I just aint mad at them redheads on the coast like I used to be. I mean after you get nads deep so many times, you start hunting harder ground. After you kill 11,987 redheads, you just stop picking up a shotgun and letting your wife shoot them. Oh look here come 97 redheads, get ready everybody, wooohoo-freakin-0hooooo sleep. Oh I have a better idea, lets hollar wooo-freakin-hoooo in the rain while we shoot 2 redheads nidea. My point is I have places I can go and if I wait for good weather everytghing is that much better. I can wear khacki shorts, a camo tshirt with flip flops. I step out on hard packed sand that is rivaled only by a walmart parking lot. Throw out my deeks and sit in a blind that some other dumb schmuck built. Let my wife shoot until she is tired of shooting and then pack it all in. BTW we only hunt the evenings. Morning duck hunts are just too early and stressful. loser8

Come on now, if ya put some effort into it you'll get more then redheads. Put the time in scouting and it will pay off. Us poor folks don't have comfortable leases lol. YET!

The day I don't get excited about a flock of 97 fully plumed, late season redheads coming in, cupped up, is the day I quit duck hunting. My old man is 62, been shooting ducks for probably 55 years. That guy has as many mallards & woodies under his belt than anyone, but he still gets giddy when he finds an X. I'm only 30 but I pray that I'm always able to keep this passion I have right now

I'm getting hooked on it as well

Duck hunting is hard to beat

For it is not the quarry that we truly seek, but the adventure.

Is there really an X when it comes to redheads?

Even a broke clock is right twice a day.
