Yea it is really close to the Daniel Defense bronze too.

Of course they have better lighting so the color pops a little better lol. Pretty darn close I think theirs is a little lighter tone of brown though.

Lol if I had it to do over again I'd leave it black and be done with it... Since I can't ever get my receivers back to original short of bead blasting it and re-anodizing it looks like lots of painting in my future LOL.

If you decide to ever strip it down again you could try soda blasting - it won't damage the anodizing. Baking Soda blasting is a good way to clean anodized aluminum suppressor baffles without damaging the anodizing

I need to send someone my upper/lower/rail and have then bead blast it so I can anodize it some crazy color LOL.

I'm very happy with it. was really worried to because the camo was terrible and I couldn't get it all cleaned. If all else failed I was going to send it off to Christian at Scalpel Arms for him to fix it, but I'm a tightwad so had to give it one last shot lol.

First time I completely stripped every part of it down.

Second time (camo) I just taped off the parts I didn't want painted which wasn't much and kept the upper/lower/rail together so my stencils would match on all.

Third time I kept the upper, lower, buffer tube together. The barrel, gas tube, gas block, and suppressor were all painted black together. The rail was painted separately from all of them.

This is the first time.
