Anyone have any experience with this scope? Looking for a 1-4x to replace my Aimpoint T1. Really want the SWFA SS 1-4x Mil/Mil but they are back ordered until April of next year. Next in line was the vortex viper PST but the .2 MIL adjustment and 2nd focal plane reticle is kind of a bummer, same with the Burris TAC30 or MTAC.

I came across the Bushnell 1-4x 24mm Throw Down PCL and it has some very good features like the .1MIL adjustments and first focal plane reticle and built in cat tail. I've looked at numerous reviews of them and they are all positive only negative I've found is a little play in the turrets.

Thanks in advance.

I've looked at this one as well and may give it a try. I do have the Burris MTAC but the dots are far too large for small targets at longer range. I have a Vortex PST 1-4 MOA with capped turrets and really like the subtensions but it is MOA and someone on this forum has shown me the light on Mils clap I did purchase the new SWFA 1-4 but waiting since it is on back order. I just purchased the SWFA 1-6 and really like it as it has everything I want in an AR type scope (small subtensions, Mil, FFP and capped turrets). I hope to try it out today on a 6.8 AR.

Yea he has shown me the light on MILs as well haha. I would love to have the SS 1-6 but it's a little out of my price range at the moment. Bushnell has an iron clad warranty so even if you don't like the scope you can return for full refund might as well try one lol.

With my fantasy football winnings (totally bragging here), i squandered the moneys and bought a DD upper.

Anyways, we were looking into optics and decide this style was the best choice. Had a chance to look through one in Gander Mt because it was a real contender and here are some thoughts from the store handling.

- it's clearly not as good of glass even the Burris MTAC (i think it's called). That said not bad at all and seems totally serviceable.
- the pre-installed cat tail is actually pretty awesome. Flips up and down very distinctly and makes for easy use.
- love the ffp feature and makes the longer distance shooting at 4x seem very doable. Reminded of shooting my old 243 with an old tasco fixed 4x.
- on 1x (which doesn't seem exactly 1x), the reticle is pretty small, given it's FFP. If the reticle if off, it makes it harder to see.
- illumination was impressive, especially considering it was daylight in a brightly lit store.

everything else about it seemed either fairly standard or "hey, that's a nice feature" sort of deal. This was our clear second choice, especially considering SWFA had a deal with this AND a mount for a good price.

there it is for what it's worth.

I went to the SWFA store and looked through a lot of 1-4x scopes including the Burris MTAC and Tac30, Bushnell, Vortex, Leatherwood, Leupold and so on.

I was looking for a scope to go on my CZ 527 7.62x39 Carbine. It's my woods gun and I knew I wanted a low(er) powered optic as most shots will be within 50-60yds.

After looking at all of them, I decided I did not want/need FFP reticle (too hard to pick up on low power low light situations), all of the Mil-Dot reticles are too thin to pick up quickly, and it's a hunting optic so exposed turrets were not needed. The reticles on the Burris scopes were disapointing as well, and would be better suited to a FFP scope.

I ended up with the Leupold VX.R 1.25-4 with the Firedot 4 reticle (German #4 with illuminated dot in center crosshairs).

Very pleased with this scope and can't wait to get it out in the woods to see how it really performs.

I really wanted a 1-6 pst to be announced at shot. Sadly that's not happening

I am debating on which scope to put on a 18in ar. I was thinking 2.5-10 but now am thinking 1-4 or 1-6

Dont buy the Bushnell! I bought one for the wifes AR and it was total junk. Very sloppy turrets and would not hold zero. I gave it about 40 rounds before I stopped wasting ammo
