These two were only night timers during the season. I think they have a calendar too. LOL

Our best buck in 2012 disappeared Nov 11, and wasn't seen again until after last light on the last Sunday of doe/spike season. Unfortunately for him, he didn't disappear soon enough in 2013, and I got him opening rifle weekend. Solid 5.5 Mills County 10pt, ~130".

Billy, you just need to keep up what you're doing. It will pay off. Those bucks will be even better next year. From now until first green-up, take time to look at trails where they enter and exit the wheat field, around the feeder, etc. You're in a good area, you're gonna' connect, I'm sure. You just need to figure out patterns.

a few years back I was holding out for the monster buck
seen quite few shooters really late and really early that year but couldn't decide in low light whether they were good enough to take ....
I held out and season ended and I went after a doe the next weekend
a beautiful big wide 11 point shows up with 6 doe at my feeder at like 4 in the afternoon
stands around so close you could hear the corn crunching bang
got a bunch of photos and took a doe from the next group that came in after they left
but boy was that nerve racking watching him that close for a long time roflmao

Them suckers are smart. My stand is roughly 1500 yards from my wife's. I started my 4 wheeler and left headed the 4 miles back to camp at 11:45. She had her deer on the ground at 12:00. First she had seen all day. Did they hear me leave and think "the coast is clear"?
