Never actually hunted at Whitney, but drove around to look at some areas while I was actually down for a hunt at Aquilla which is right down the road and still a part of the same COE land. I shot at and missed my first turkey at Aquilla probably about 15 years ago. Saw and heard quite a few birds out there back then, but a lot of times there was quite a few people Whenever I went on the weekend...I just started hunting during the week and didn't have that issue as much. Anyway that was years ago...no telling what it's like now as I haven't been there in nearly 10 years if not longer.

I hunted a private place about 5 miles from Whitney. Lots of birds early in the season, but they get pretty heavy pressure and start to disperse later in the spring.
