Looking for a high capacity .45 and thinking this might do it for me. Anyone have any experience with one? Only needing it for SHTF and as a hunting sidearm.

I absolutely loved mine. 1500 rounds through it and didn't have a failure. Now I'm shooting the FNX-9 because ammo was too expensive. The fNX series is the perfect pistol for me.

Put about 50 rounds through one at the range about 8 months ago. One of the smoothest, best pistols I've ever shot.

I had one for a while, shot great. I personally did not like it due to grip. Felt like I was holding a 2x4! function was perfect, so if you like the way it feels I would say go for it.

A buddy has one. Pretty sweet gun. I was going to get the FNX-45 Tactical (with threaded barrel) but then came across a barely used HK USP45 Tactical for a price I couldn't pass up.
It is far more important to be able to hit the target than it is to haggle over who makes a weapon or who pulls a trigger.

I went the other way, from USP to FNX and couldn't be happier. Seems to balance a bit better, could be because of the extra rounds in the grip.

Buddy has one and its a pretty sweet gun. He hasn't shot it much but hasn't had any issues.

I have had an FNP-45 Competition for a couple of years. I've put about 1000 rounds of everything from hand loads to boxed JHP and never a failure. It is one of the few pistols that I would not part with.
