Been in stand hoping for some axis or piggies since about 4am. Seen 20 axis last night. Passed on the does and had 4 bucks show up but I screwed up and window shut on gun spooking them.
Main goal this year is to get big free range axis buck 30" or better.

Sorry forgot to update. Seen 6 bucks and 13 doe all whitetail.
Next day a few whitetail and 4 axis bucks but they were in velvet half grown.
Hunting at my Throckmorton property now and haven't seen a deer all weekend

Feel your pain. The deer and pigs seem to be 100% nocturnal here in Murray. Plenty of dove, cranes , ducks and yotes but no deer. Been a frustrating year here.
