RE: Hevi-Metal 3" November 20, 2014 recall.

Just a heads up....

The replacement shells Hevi-Shot sent to me pertaining to their initial recall are defective. The lot number for these shells are not listed in the initial recall.

I had a hunt ruined earlier this week when a defective shells plug practically fused to the inside of my gun barrel. The plug residue inside the barrel required about an hours work and numerous solvents before finally coming clean.

I've contacted Hevi-Shot twice this week and have been informed that the individual who handles these issues is on vacation for the holidays. As such, I ordered and have just received a shipment of comparable shells from one of their competitors. Looks like I am done with Hevi-Shot products and will be seeking a refund.

My replacement case arrived today. What lot number do you have?

Crap,mnot again

I sent 6 boxes of shells in the recall to be replaced...they sent me 1 box back. I called them and asked what the deal was and they said it must have been a data entry error and they would send me the rest. They were very nice. Anybody shot any of the replacement heavy-metal 3 inch 1 1/4 ounce #3's. Hoping these are safe to shoot. Have not tried them yet
