Only have Gen1 and debating on getting a Suppresor.
What would be a good cheap rifle in a caliber that will put down pigs and axis.
I have a AR but don't want to change its current setup and it is a great truck gun that shoots sub moa.

Maybe a upper in 6.8 or .300 blackout?
Was thinking maybe a bolt gun in .308 or .300 black

Shots on property I will be using it on all shots will be under 100yds.

Ruger 77/44 is what I picked. I'll get mine when Form 4 jail ends.

I like the way you think. If I ever go suppressed, I was going this route as well. I like the idea of the heavy large diameter bullet when going subsonic.

Reports from the field indicate the 300 grain Hornady XTP @ 1050 fps works really well at ranges under 75 yards. The combo also has mild recoil, an important concern with NV. I'd love to go 458 Socom, but I can't believe that's NV safe for most gear. The action noise is also a strong negative.

Do a Ruger American Predator. It's a bolt action with scope rail and threaded barrel. For 100 yards, pick any caliber you want. For quiet subs, go with the 300 blk.

It is far more important to be able to hit the target than it is to haggle over who makes a weapon or who pulls a trigger.
