Welp finally got to do little hunting last week. Took out the 22 Creed and dumped this deer at 150 yards with the 75 grain amax all on film for a show next year on the sportsman channel. Bullet went high shoulder through and through can see it hit the dirt on the other side. Deer scored 145 and 6 and weighted 206. After shooting this buck had a chance to get a one shot on the range at 900 yards. Doped the wind perfect but was one click high.

Very nice. Was wondering when you would post this up. You're gonna make me get a 22CM.
Just to make sure that it is done thoroughly, I go both ways.

Now take it to the prairie dog towns in the spring. See how far you can connect with one.

Yeah. It involves quite a ride in the truck to get to them. I do it with the same bullet as what you're using, but with an MV of 3200 fps. This year I managed to walk one in at 720 yards. Windy every day.

My Horizon 22 Creedmoor has a 1/8 twist to handle 75-85gr bullets. My kills from the week-end after Christmas aren't as impressive as Derrick's. I was walking in to call a coyote and spotted this hog feeding at about 160 yards. I sat down and propped on the fence popped him and continued on my mission. Called up a coyote and got him at around 80 yards. Then I went back to get a picture of the boar hog. Shoulder broken he made it about 15 yards. Coyote was DRT and no fur damage as it was a frontal chest shot. We did shoot a couple of does with it as well but I did not get any pictures. All were fairly close as kids were shooting.

Which bullet were you using on the Hog and yote?
Mostly for deer and hogs I use 75gr Sirocco bullets which work great so far. 80gr Nosler Custom Competition sure will make a mess on yotes with those thin jackets. 75gr Bergers have exited all pigs I have shot with them with exit holes being an inch to 1.5 inches.
Not a Creedmoor but a 22-243 that I am shooting.

I have only shot 75gr AMax at animals so far. I have shot some 85gr Barnes MB's just to see how they shot and they were very accurate.

How fast is that 75 grain bullet moving with the 22 creed more?
Is it ballistically similar to the .22-6mm (or .22 TTH) ?
For it is not the quarry that we truly seek, but the adventure.

Is it ballistically similar to the .22-6mm (or .22 TTH) ? Depending on barrel length is safe to say 3350-3520, Similar but I would argue more efficient and feeds and cycles better. All the fast 22s are limited to around 3600 with the heavy bullets before they start coming apart

The TTH has a little more case capacity so can be a little faster.
With 75gr most will run it 3200 to 3300 fps but can be run a bit faster. During load workup have run 3500fps but settled on a little over 3300 for a nice load that shoots under half inch at 100 and under inch at 300 with 75gr Sirocco from a 27 inch barrel in 22-243. Have a good load with about same accuracy with a 75gr Berger @ 3450fps
