Looking to get a 4-16x scope. Cabelas has the Vortex Viper 4-16x44 for $399- Cabelas Or should i get the Vortex Crossfire II 4-16x50 for $280? Crossfire Would there by a big difference between the 44 vs the 50? Mounting this on a 6.5 creed

Spend as much as you can afford on rifle scopes. You do get what you pay for.

Higher glass quality (Viper) means more than objective size. However, all I use is 50mm objectives and they get me well past legal light.

I run a 3-12 viper on my creed. No issue to 600. I haven't ran it past that but should have enough adjustment for at least 800

The turrets on the viper would make it easier to shot long distances so I am leaning towards that. Any other recommendations in the $300 to $400 price range
