A reputable user running the latest firmware in the UK intends to test POI tracking tomorrow. I'll let you know what he reports.

Awesome.. I would update but I'm hunting next Friday im afraid even with the numbers there is a chance the firmware changes something where the poi is different. I'm not willing to take that chance and wound a deer.

Mine still has a flicker in night mode, but a lot less often. It flickers every few seconds rather than constantly which is a big improvement but not there yet. can you post a video I don't know if the fixes would be worth it as I have a hunt coming up in a week. Apologies, but for whatever reason, having just gone outside to record the video, the flicker is back to where it was before, no improvement at all. Earlier on this evening it was definitely flickering less often, but clearly its now settled back into its old ways!

It'll double the usable range x2 over the included IR light that comes with the X-sight.
It uses an 18650 power cell which you might want to order an extra set in the unlikely event that one goes bad or you lose one while in the field.
They are very nice IR units, where are you hunting on the 9th?

Bought batteries in anticipation of a hunt in the next couple of weeks. 30 bucks for a couple of sets of Energizer Lithium Just when gas and corn are going back down now between the X-sight and the Pulsar thermal monocular I may need a part time job to feed those hungry suckers. Good luck on your hunts guys

For 18650 batteries, buy those with Panosonic cells, should be green, anything else like the Chinese cells are mostly junk. I have an analyzer and measured all my 18650 battery capacities, the 5000mah batteries measured 1000mah and less, I did have one 3000mah battery that measured 1600, the rest measured less than 700mah. I now have Panosonic cells rated at 3400mah cells and they all measure at least 3400.

"Well folks been out and tested the X-Sight with the new firmware (version 200) and I'm happy to say the issue has been resolved". Got it. Compass, speedometer, altitude adressed in this firmware update. Recticle still wandering Now up to 10x on the zoom
On the update if it gets stuck @ 100% ATN stated to try to power down with the hard button. If tht dowsnt work (in my case) pull the batteries and wait 30 seconds, pull sd card. power back up and it will update.
Now showing firmware v200 on mine. I thought that was tested here and found to be still an issue?

Sourced from : http://www.nightvisionforumuk.com (registration required to view content) User : Marky 610 Here is the full post: We folks been out and tested the X-Sight with the new firmware (version 200) and I'm happy to say the issue has been resolved. Tested at 50mt using my 22lr on three target markers 3/4" in diameter, one a 1x digie mag, one at 2x digie mag and one at 3x digie mag. Recorded it all but the file corrupted whilst uploading it to the laptop, bloody good job I photographed the target. Had you have seen the video there are two shots in the bull on 3x mag but the sticker fell off, I replaced it for the picture. Couldn't go much past 3x mag as I lost the reticle out the top of the screen, still got around 18x true mag more than enough for anyone. Zero coordinates are x=31 y=-53

Not sure about that one...I tried my pulsar 915IR with the X-sight and got a digital camo look which was hard to see thru...Keep us informed on your UNV20...very interested..

I am not 100 % positive but I am fairly confident that the Pulsar 915IR is a laser based unit. Pulsar has been known to insert a diffuser in their laser IR units in order to comply with eye safe laws. An example is their N750 Digisight which uses a laser IR onboard with the diffuser, it creates a "screen door" effect on the image. With other IR systems the N750 digisight looks much clearer/cleaner. Reference the video below. Minute mark 2:34 right side image is built in laser IR of Digisight N750 compare to minute mark 3:48 right side image which is an LED based IR system Is this what your X-sight looked like using the 915IR?

I think the first 200 units ATN received from China had black buttons with pre-174 firmware loaded. Recent deliveries are red buttons. Besides E-compass, a HUGE change was made to fixing the wandering POI that was seeminly introduced with 174 firmware. I tested 173 firmware and it tracked fine and another user just verified 200 is back on track. So what firmware do you have and what color are your buttons?
