Considering a CROSSFIRE II for my 7mm Mag. Wanted to get some feedback on them and see if there was a recommendation on where to buy one. Going to stay under $200 on the scope.

Thanks

I have a 3x9x50 on my 308 and for the money it's not bad at all. I got mine at academy.

Got the CrossFire II 6-18x44mm on a 7mm mag....works great without spending several hundred bucks on a decent scope....dollar to a donut, the Vortex Crossfire will definitely increase in price as soon as they catch on....

SWFA will beat any price you find that is cheaper than what they have it listed for.
Also give 8% discount to THF members to basically make it a tax free purchase...

Oh, and I like the Dead Hold BDC reticle myself.

Just mounted and sighted one in on a 300 blackout yesterday and in the rain and fog I was pretty impressed.

Good deal. I hope to check them out tomorrow at Cabelas and then probably order online.

They should run about 150 that's what I paid at the most over priced place ever(gander mountain). Checked online and academy was same price. I'd look at Amazon or camera land

I've got the 1-4x24 and the Hog Hunter 3-12x56 and both have the V-Brite reticle. Awesome scopes for the money. Buy nothing but Vortex.

I just posted this on another thread too. "I'm no competition shooter and I don't do a lot of dialing, but I do generally hunt one type of critter or another at least 2-3 times a week, year round. I have four Vortex Crossfire II's and I am completely satisfied with the performance of them all. I could have spent $1,500 each to keep up with the Jones's, but $150 each to get the job done and still have $5,400 in my pocket just makes more sense to me. I don't need to shoot a dime sized group at 1,000 yards to kill a deer, pig, coyote, etc. I don't shoot thousands of rounds at paper either. Maybe one day the Vortex's will break down; but under normal, plain old hunting conditions they have proven very reliable and accurate for me. I understand that some folks have a different job to get done and they may need a more expensive tool to work with; but for my purposes, Vortex fits the bill just fine and I will probably buy another Vortex when I need another scope. And no I don't work for Vortex or anyone associated with them." I have 1 3-9x40 vplex, 1 3-9x40 DH BDC, 1 4-12x40 DH BDC and 1 6-18x44 DH BDC. All but one were purchased at SWFA. Also have a Bushnell Banner IR, a BSA Sweet 223 and a Burris Eliminator. Ended up putting the Bushnell & BSA on my kids' 22's. Crossfire II is way better than the Bushnell or BSA; and better in low light conditions than the Eliminator.
