Great video! I have seen several really good videos of buck fights. The best one was an old VHS tape one taken in Dimmitt County in the early 90's. It lasted over 45 minutes with 10 or more other bucks running in or around the fight. One buck flipped the other one into the air, over and through cactus. The fought across a road and back. Both were really good bucks and a very mature 10 point with a larger drop was brought in by the fighting. The hunter shooting the video did even see the droptine buck till he viewed the video at camp later. He said he would have shot that buck, but never saw him again. I was able to get pics of a buck fight this year in November. Only last about 1:20 seconds but got a lot of good pics.

Awesome South Texas fight, been fortunate enough to see some good South Texas sparring in my time; always fun to watch.

Good video. Looks like those two were actually locked up for a bit early in the video. I've been lucky enough to see several buck fights over the years but never had a camera with me to record it. All but one didn't last very long. I watched two mature 8 points square off in Collingsworth county some years back that lasted for over 10 minutes. I had begun to wonder it they were locked up but finally one of them turned tail and left the area. It was an awesome event to watch.

I've never seen a fight between two big mature bucks that lasted more than two or three minutes before one turned and hightailed it. My wife and I got to watch a good match between two small 8's one afternoon last week that lasted around fifteen minutes. They drew three more young bucks to watch and circle them while they fought. When one finally broke and took off the winner stood for several minutes with his legs spread and his mouth open just recouping before slowly walking away. The wifey has got to experience a genuine buck fight and a buck breeding a doe this season after 22 years of hunting.
