I see options for round or rectangle spinner plates, but no explanation as to why you would choose one over the other. What's the difference in performance?

If it’s for a 12volt motor with a 1/4 inch shaft I recommend the Eliminator Spinner Plate

Rectangular is said to throw a little further. I just bought a rectangular eliminator plate for my new feeder build.

It depends on how they are configured on top of the plate. When we were making our own we got better spread if we riveted angle pieces on top of the plate.
