When your at the boat launch and there are several slips, remember to turn off your lights, you don't need them to back up. You may not think so, but it blinds the next guy trying to back up.

And then, when you have spent 20 min trying to launch your boat and you are politely asked if you need any help and if you could turn off your lights. Don't get an attitude, just say your sorry and turn them off. It's just the right thing to do.

Merry Christmas and be safe in all of your travels!

Ahhhh, for a little common sense so things like this didn't have to be said.
Merry Christmas!

Also.....to the two rigs that went by me while I was in the parking lot readying my boat for launch....and then was blocking me while you were getting your boat ready to launch.....I was not trying to cut in front of you. The line starts behind boats that are ready for launch....not behind guys that are blocking the ramps while they get their shhitt ready.

And the fukkkers beat me where I was wanting to go to boot.

Fowl, were you in BC Christmas Eve AM?

If you were, the offending party was my buddy and I. Needless to say, it was a morning marred by my partner who was a piss-ant. He's a little anal about that big fancy bass boat of his and his attitude rubbed off. My apologies.

Thanks for the tip, I never thought about it before, but never had to till yesterday. Been hunting out of a boat for 2 seasons now, and yesterday was the first time I got to the ramp and there was a line. While in line someone pulls up, and I guess could not understand why there was a line, and just pulled past everyone like "what are these stupid guys doing in line", he did not get very far and had to back up, funny I was chuckling...

I had a guy pull passed me at the ramp last week. I was busy taking care of bidness before putting on waders so I don't blame him. But then he had his teenager backing down, that was fun to watch. Ziggin' and zaggin', taking up two lanes. Luckily we were the only fools out. We ended up leaving the ramp before him anyway. Still funny how they were in panic mode trying to beat us out the ramp. nuts

Sounds like me. bolt

I go to a secluded boat ramp where I rarely have seen a truck for years while fishing. Get a boat and boom someone is there everytime I go. Usually they are there and gone before me or back and gone before I come back in so I don't get in their way (I'm fairly new to backing a trailer). I always pull over to the side and load my crap and pull straps, etc then pull up and to the ramp and launch.

There was one time we were on the edge of the grass getting ready and a truck pulls down the road and backs down the ramp. I was like "oh, this is what people are always talking about." I figured they knew what they were doing as they were a couple of old fishermen and would be out of the way pretty quick. Nope. We had to wait on them and then had to run through their noodles that they threw all over the mouth of the cove. realmad

Boat ramps can be a whole level up in cheap entertainment.
