considering building an AR-15 in 300BLK - everyone says to go the SBR route. The only thing is when I am not shooting it suppressed I don't want the barrel tucked back under the rail.....
What barrel length and manufacturer would you guys suggest?

Then make the rail shorter than the barrel. My hand guard is the same size as the suppressor. 8.2" Noveske.
It is far more important to be able to hit the target than it is to haggle over who makes a weapon or who pulls a trigger.

Just finished my upper (waiting on stamp)...11.3" Wilson Combat Barrel & a 10" BCM KMR Hand guard. Suppressor is a Saker762. MB protrudes approx 3" from end of hand guard. Pics later.
I am still looking for the perfect apron, one with reinforced knee areas would be perfect.

I'm running a 10.5" noveske with a 9" seekins BAR rail. My can is an AE30 (reflex style can) so it slides over 2.5" of barrel, so about 1" of the can goes under the rail. I only shoot it suppressed, because there is no reason to shoot it loud.
I love the noveske barrel. Extremely high quality and it shoots lights out. I was shooting under a half inch at 50 yards and about 1.5" groups @ 100 with subsonic reloads (208 amax/re7) with a viper pst 1-4x. I just ordered some 125's so I'm going to load up some supers for hunting, and see how they shoot.
Can't go wrong with the noveske.

I run a 10.5" barrel and 9" rail and there is about 1" clearance to the suppressor.
