Started at $15.00; 53 bids and viewed over 11,00 times.

Wish it were mine. I'd certainly sell it for that price.

Beautiful rifle but even if it's the only one...$18k...isn't worth it to me but then I'm not a collector.

Its beautifully done, but I think it's rather homely. I don't care for the contours of the stock or the slab-sided action.

With the guns looks I am kinda glad there is only one. Great looking piece of walnut but those slab sides and "checkering" just do not have the classic lines I like.

The guy that can afford to buy it won't ever shoot it. That would never work for me. I'd be flinging lead with it as soon as I got it home. Then again, I'm not a collector of wall art firearms.

I was going to bid but half the guys on this forum say only go with a 6.5. So I'll pass on that expensive donor action.

I'd shoot it just to irritate those that say it should be an ornament.

Anyone else notice the location is Newtown, CT?

Good since they need to be focusing on making A-maxes. We got the rifles covered.

Yea, it only needs to bring $137,000.00 to hold the record for highest bid.

You are right! They should stick to ammo.

That could be deliberate or accidental. I know one or three guys that rotate their scopes to make more room for their big fingers to access the loading port. Maybe Steve Hornady does that very thing with his scopes. Or perhaps his dad, Joyce, was known for doing so.

But since the rifle doesn't have an owner yet, it's probably a dumb oversight.

I think I like this 300RCM thing! I wonder if it will work well with the 208 AMAX's.
I hope they make some less fancy and more affordable versions.
