Headed back to New Mexico unit 34 for our archery mule deer hunt a week from today...long range weather forecast looks great for the area!

Me and my group are headed up there on the 4th to hunt the first full week of the new year. This is our 4 year and I am ready to get back up there. Good luck up there.

Been at the lease no deer here so hopefully Mayhill will be kind.... I will try to do updates but have to walk 20 minutes uphill to get a signal...

7 days and no harvest...lots of deer and rutting hard...could not pull the good bucks off of their harems so lots of eyes on the look out...had a legal buck at 22 yards on day 2 but was a first year buck as his ears were bigger than his antlers and let him walk...great trip with a great group of friends!
