Ok, you go a few times with your buddy and share you coffee. He doesn't bring any ever.

Do you cut him off and suggest the purchase of a thermos?

Cut off. First time it happens, sure buddy, here you go! Second time he'd get a cup, and a load of [censored] (via good natured jocularity) for the rest of the day. Damn sure wouldn't let that happen a third time. If they even ask a fourth time??? Harsh judgment.

If he is your true buddy you should not mind sharing or even have a thought about it. If he is not, that gets old if he does not somehow contribute, such as donuts, breakfast burrito, etc..., or carries his part of the load somehow.

I never hunt w/o coffee, that is just crazy talk. Even with a planed death march ahead of me, let'n sand out of decoys, cutting weights down to 1 oz, take less decoys, less shells to shed weight, all that can go, but full thermos of coffee always makes it into the blind bag.

Coffee gives my tummy the "talk-to-me's" after about 30 minutes. I do not partake away from home.

I drink the same two cups of coffee a day whether I'm hunting or not, and the first cup gets brewed even before the morning pee usually. So I don't take any hunting, by the time I get to a hunt I've had my joe already. Sure does sound good on a cold morning though.

Why don't you just ask him to bring some coffee next time?

I honestly would care though. I wouldn't mind bringing the coffee because it always seems to even out in the end somehow.

I am sure at some point you might need to borrow shells or something.

Look, I brought hot chocolate... get over it. I had a sweet tooth that day.

Drank the rest a day later and it was still steaming hot. I guess my Thermos is pretty B.A.
