I don't know much about bolt action rifle valuations. Have been offered two rifles in trade for my Beretta 20 ga. One is a weatherby Mark V synthetic stock in .270 win with a leupold vx3 3-10x50 scope. The other is a 70's Era Ruger m77 30.06 with a VX2 3-9x40 scope. Both seem to be in good condition.
If I do the trade I'd just turn around and sell the rifles as I'm looking to buy a new clays gun. Any help on valuation and ease of sale would be appreciated. I have a couple of pics that I'll try to post.

IMHO neither rifle brand is in high demand.......
but as they sit with the scopes you be doing well to 500.00 for each.... I wouldn't trade the Beretta for those.... you are better off selling the shotgun and then buying the one you want.
other may disagree........

Spend a little time on gunbroker dot com and research what these rifles have sold for, as well as your Beretta. IMO both are decent rifles dependent on what you intend for them. But a little cash might be in order to even up the trade.

Would be much easier to sell your one shotgun than to try and sell two rifles.

From my experience it's way easier to sell a high end shotgun than mid grade bolt guns.

The Weathby is a nice gun but the fact it is .270 Win and not .270 WBY is working against it. Weatherby shooters want Weatherby calibers. Synthetic MkVs in non-Weatherby calibers usually sell for 5-600. If the scope is truly a new vx3 and not an older vx-iii or a varix-iii you have 4-500 in glass on that gun.
Trade might not be as lopsided as it first appears but if your goal is a new clays gun and not a couple rifles to play with and you don't have a fast/easy way to resell rifles I would politely decline the offer.

Why don't you just trade your shotgun for the one you want?
