I walked up on my big doe in Ohio the other day and my buddy handed me that butt hole tool and I said oh no no. I've already killed it Im not gonna molest it too. I didn't use it but that think works great if somebody else does it. Haha! That's about how I feel about it.

Good comeback young chit, you are learning well Learn from the best . Plus I'm getting older y'all. Honestly, I never thought of Butt-Out as deer molestating. People use themselves on road kill, and plus, aren't we already molesting it by cutting open/through its anus? But if you put in the wrong hole then...

Excellent topic. Maybe it's a sign that I'm getting old. But, I don't think so. I'm still cooler than 95 percent of the men out there. (Just kidding). Here's another one I was thinking about. I have a four wheel drive f150. Why have the trucks gotten so tall? I don't think the ground clearance has gotten any higher mi now, have a hoe in the back of my truck to scrape stuff out that I can't reach. They are building in steps into tailgates and bumpers now. I guess the coolness of bing tall vehicles has completely overshadowed the functionality of the trucks. How could a guy work out of these things now? You have to pull a ramp on a trailer to be able to use them.

I guess I am a little short. I'm only 5'10". But still, I'm pretty sure a guy would need to be at least 7'6" to be able to not need a hoe.

It's the Bro Country syndrome.
Apparently most young folks today are very shallow and impressionable. That's all I got. Sad to say its true. I lost all respect for the mainstream hunting industry when I saw a advertisement for a show called "deer thugs " There is nothing thuggish about a Caucasian male who is 40 lbs overweight sitting in a stand trying to shoot a deer. Not one damn thing Give me a Craig boddington show any day. It seems there has been a division of classes so to speak between the "upper eschelon" type hunters who belong to SCI and B&C and can form a complete sentence and speak intelligently and the "aww shucks I just whacked me a forkhorn" guys who it seems 90% of the market is catered to I see one more deer or pig skull graphic on the stock of a synthetic rifle I'm gonna puke. This isn't world of Warcraft it's called hunting I will distance myself frm these types in any way I can There is a third group. Just ordinary guys who hunt and love to fellowship, but think all theh- fiving/giggling/commercialization junk is stupid-which it is. Are you over hating me yet? I can't sleep at night. I'm in the third group as well. The hollier than thou I'm better than you group at the top are just as annoying and maybe even more damaging to hunting than the Affliction group! +1 I hope I'm never known as a "upper echelon hunter" they are by far more annoying....

Unfortunately hunting and the hunting way of life is a dying breed in America. Hunting product manufacturers are doing all they can to try and reach out to new and different segments of the population to try and gain their interest and get them into hunting. If they have to keep using words like Extreme or Thug or Bad or Whack or whatever... they are going to try it. And I guess, even as much as I dislike those words as well, if it draws in a new era and generation of hunters I'm ok with it. I don't want to see hunting go by the way side with future generations.

I have thought much about this. I would like to think that young people could be attracted to the sport without all the ridiculousness, but perhaps you are right. I will agree being interested in hunting on any level is better than not being interested at all.

Why do people keep saying hunting is dying out?
It's not dying out there are plenty of new hunters that take up the sport every year
License sales are as high as they have ever been

License sales are as high as they have ever been Pretty sure hunter ratios to general population are and have been declining for years. Some years license sales have increased but that can be misleading because 1)many have come after periods of decline and 2)participation has certainly not kept pace with overall population growth.

Some years license sales have increased but that can be misleading because 1)many have come after periods of decline and 2)participation has certainly not kept pace with overall population growth. But that also has to do with demographics of the population. Number of licensed hunters has remained somewhat steady over the years but has declined. With 16,420,249 licensed hunters in 1974 with a population in the US of 213,900,000 as compared to 14,631,327 hunters in 2013 with a population of 316,150,320. License sales have decreased by less than 2 million but the population has grown by over 100 million.
