Great caliber, you are going to love it. Remington corlokt or Hornady whitetail. Buy a box of each and use what groups best.

110gr Accubonds are awesome out of the little quarter bore 06.

I have been using hornady 117 gr SST. I have shot 5 deer with this combination so far. 2 neck shots , 3 behind the shoulder. 4 out of 5 exited. One neck shot didn't exit, must have hit bone ? The ranges were from 70 to 225 yds. Im not sure this is my permanent hunting bullet, but so far so good. If I begin to experiment, it may be with a partition bullet. But , since the SST's are wicked accurate in my gun and I haven't had to track a deer yet, I think I will stick with them for now.

Don't leave out the 100 gr fodder that is available. elcasador hit it right, buy a box of several different kinds/weights/brands and see what works best in YOUR rifle.
When you have found it, shoot the rest of the stuff just for practice (you can always trade/sell/give away the brass) and make SURE you buy a couple of boxes of the same lot number of the brand/bullet-size your rifle likes.

Rifles are similar to boats and young women...there's no end to how much money you can pour into them without making them any more useful.

1-10 twist & 24" barrel seems to be good up to 117gr. What's the low end, as far as grain/weight?

10" twist work well with 120s, also. I have several 25/06s and 257Rs that attest to that, even with 22" bbls.
And there is no lower end...at least in terms of sufficient bullet stabilization.
