Haven't hunted this lease in about 3 weeks so me and my buddy decided to jump in the truck and head up. Left out about 3:00 this morning. Hope we can at least see something that makes it worth while.

That's real good. I'm becoming a convert to corned roads, they work!

That is great. Saw nothing last night or this morning. I did get a deer on cam 1 minute before I checked it at 10 am today. They are smart this time of year. They moved 10 to 1 today. We have 3 shooters left on can and hogs have left.

I'm a believer. Not a single deer at the feeder but 14 deer on the corned roads and the other three ate on something else in a field

I did the exact same thing yesterday. Up at 2:30 and hunted yesterday morning. Went to Nocona, ate lunch, Corn from Ace hardware, back to lease fill feeders and check cameras. Pigs are back daily at the same time on camera. That means I can go back next week and get one. As usual batteries dead on 2 of 4 cameras. No shooters on camera. Lots of does and yearlings in pack of 7 or so. Lots of button bucks, so that's good for the future. My buddies son saw the only true shooter I've seen this year, but like when I saw him, it was only a brief glance of a few seconds. Oh well. At least he's out there. Keeps the hope alive. Makes every hunt like Christmas, never know if he will show up, but the thought of maybe keeps ya excited. My kids are home for the next week, which means I'll be back hunting in the next few days. Yippee. Nothing beats hunting with family. NOTHING! I really like the weather the last few days, overcast, wet, and cold. Real hunting weather. Perfect for a fire. My small food plots have been nibbled to the dirt the last few weeks. I put fertilizer down opening weekend, before leaving. The rains that followed and the acorns keeping the deer off had my plots thick and green. I had corn piling up under feeders 3 weeks ago. Now they don't leave a kernel one. I turned my feeders up to meet demand. Should be good from here on out. aim
