It's not the heaviest but I have had great success with federal 55 gr BTHP. Been shooting that round for years at everything from rabbits to deer. Being a hollow point most will not recommend for deer but every one I have shot had minimal tracking if any.

I have a Shilen 1-10 twist barrel on my M77 22-250. It will stabilize 69 Sierra matchkings, that's the biggest I've tried so far. I may try Hornady 75 HPBT just to see what happens, but I'm fairly sure 75 Amax won't work.

I have yet to nail down a load and go shoot something with it, but I'm thinking Sierra Gameking 65 SPBT will be just the ticket for medium game on down....

There are several bullets these days that will work fine with that twist from a 22-250. Nosler offers 2 the partition and forget the name of the other but it is built a lot like the old Bearclaw bullets. Swift now offers a
62 gr Sirocco. Barnes offers several TSX .224 bullets, Winchester 64gr Power Point, Serria 65gr gameking.

Best of he lot IMO Noslers 2 and Sirocco

Have also had good luck with Speer 70gr soft point from a 22-250 on deer in the past.

i couldnt find anything yesterday i liked, they had a 69 gr matchking but didnt think it would be good for hunting. we picked up some 60 gr hornady sp loaded up 20.
it shot two five shot groups at 1.1 not bad hope it needs to break in and hope we can find a better load. but i know we got something we can work with.
